Emilie A. Bean
Ms. Bean is the President and Managing Partner of the firm. She is a member of the Utah State Bar, and admitted to practice before the Utah Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of Utah.
Ms. Been has volunteered as an attorney coach with the Utah Law Related Education Project Mock Trial Competition.
Ms. Bean devotes her practice to adoptions, family law, and juvenile law. She has represented clients in complex adoptions, custody disputes, divorces, and paternity actions.
Ms. Bean received her B.A. from Weber State University in 1987, and her J.D. from the S.J. Quinney School of Law at the University of Utah in 1992. She was admitted to the Utah Bar in 1992.
Rebecca M. Voymas
Ms. Voymas is an Associate Attorney with the firm. She is licensed in Utah and Colorado. Her practice areas will focus on family law, juvenile law, and criminal defense. Ms. Voymas views her clients’ legal issues as only one aspect of their lives and draws on her prior work experiences in the fields of mental health and human services to best serve her clients as they navigate difficult times in their lives.
Prior to relocating to Utah in 2015, Ms. Voymas practiced in Colorado from 2008-2014, where she served as a prosecutor for several years. She also has experience in criminal defense, family law, juvenile law, and civil litigation.
Ms. Voymas earned a B.A. from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 1995. She earned her J.D. in 2006 from the University of Colorado School of Law, where she served on the Colorado Journal of International Environmental Law and Policy.
In her free time, Ms. Voymas enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her husband.
Ms. Read is licensed in Utah. She practices in the areas of family law, estate planning and criminal defense.
Ms. Read draws on her prior experience as a prosecutor and personal experience with divorce. She likes to think out of the box to find creative solutions to difficult situations.
Ms. Read received her BA from BYU in 1999 and her JD from Thomas Cooley Law School in 2004. She was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 2004.
In her free time, Ms. Read likes reading, kickboxing and spending quality time with her family.
